New Customer Project from Start to Production
Bekmar and the customer discuss requirements for product to determine all aspects of achieving the desired needs. Is the requirement for EMI/RFI shielding or environmental or both?
- EMI/RFI shielding is determined to be the requirement:
- What frequency range is being shielded?
- What material is the shield housing made of?
- Is the shield housing plated? If so what kind?
- Product schedule and volume requirements.
- Are CADD files available?
- Environmental shielding is determined to be the requirement.
- What are the environmental requirements?
- What is the part and material?
- Is the housing painted?
- Product schedule and volume requirements.
- Are CADD files available?
- Both environmental and ENI/RFI are required.
- 1 and 2 apply.
Customer sends CADD file of part. Part is reviewed by Bekmar staff to determine materials and process to meet product specifications.
Bekmar staff reviews technical aspects with customer and discusses all concerns.
Customer places purchase order for programming, tooling, and samples for testing.
Bekmar programs and debugs robot program for dispensing gasket. First, sample is dispensed and inspected to ensure requirements are achieved. Additional samples are dispensed, inspected, tested, and submitted to customer for approval.
Parts are approved by customer and production processes are documented.
